creating the Brand identity of whisper walks
The Whisper Walk is a guided tour of the history of the West Village retail precinct in West End, Brisbane.
This is an immersive event for all ages, produced by Metro Arts and created by Counterpilot.
This involved the development of two concepts, pitching the ideas, receiving approval from both the retail precinct, the gallery & creators before rolling out a variety of outputs ranging from stickers, environmental decals, print products, social media post, EDMs, advertisements, pin & more.
ideation & Sketching
Taking the briefing & breaking it down to it barest components using word association, mind-mapping, mood board creation & skamping. Taking up a pen before going digital helps keep that free-thinking open & prevent feeling locked down to a single idea or becoming trapped in the need to be “pixel-perfect”.
Below is a collection of the workings & sketches I did when developing concepts for presentation
Concepts & Pitch
Breaking down my research & sketches, I refined my ideas down to two trains of thought. One concept focused on people & the experience of the event reflected in the design, with a fun, friendly stylisation. The other concept focused on place & what makes a space, considering those inner workings, stylised with a architecture & blueprint visuals.
I presented some of the below workings for the client, where we discussed what worked & what didn’t & where to go from there.
